Our Materials
Oracal, Avery and 3M vinyl:
We use only the best vinyl material available. Opaque, polymeric, vinyl film with clear, pressure-sensitive adhesive. Most of our Vinyl is "rated" for 7 years. This means that the manufacturer says under normal conditions, the material should not peel, crack, delaminate, or fade for 7 years. As a matter of fact, in most cases, the material considerably outlives this rating. All of our vinyl films have excellent water resistance and work well in marine applications. They also resists mild acids, alkalis, and salts. Our vinyl graphic films also hold up well under clear coating applications.
Vinyl Colors:
It is impossible to get computer screen colors to properly match all the colors of our Vinyl. The actual Vinyl colors are far more vibrant than what you see on the screen. To view samples of our available vinyl click here View Colors.
Decal Tips
Measuring for Decals:
Using a tape measure or ruler, measure the total length (left to right) and the total height (top to bottom). This is the area you want to fit your decal in. Depending on your preference you choose how large or small you want the decal to be.
Decal Installation:
Please visit Installation, Care and Removal department.
Dealing with Air Bubbles:
You may have small bubbles after you have applied your decal. Bubbles will go away in time as the vinyl breathes and will eventually flatten out (may take a few weeks). If you want to work on the bubbles immediately, poke them with a pin, then press the film down with your thumb immediately afterwards. Have patience though, the film will lay flat on it's own in time unless the bubbles are unusually large.
Decal Removal:
Heat the decal with a hairdryer or heat gun to slightly above room temperature. Then using your fingernail, or carefully using a razor blade lift the edge of the decal and pull across the decal. Any glue marks can be removed using common household liquids such as rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover.
